16 October 2020

Superdry has announced that Chief Financial Officer Nick Gresham has stood down, with immediate effect.

The fashion retailer said a search for a permanent replacement would start immediately, while interim arrangements were put in place.

Gresham only arrived at Superdry in August 2019, having previously worked in the same position at both Wiggle and Oak Furniture Land.

"Nick joined Superdry at a time of significant change and challenge in the business," Chief Executive Julian Dunkerton said in a statement.

“He has played an important role in putting the company in a stronger position than it was before he joined and helped to steer Superdry through the impact of the COVID pandemic. I would like to personally thank Nick for all his efforts in supporting me, the company and all our stakeholders. I wish him all the best for the future."

Last month, Superdry reported deepening losses for the full year as the Coronavirus pandemic impacted the chain’s turnaround strategy.

Superdry posted revenue of £704.4m in the 52 weeks to 25 April, down 19.2%. The company also reported a statutory loss before tax of £166.9m, up from £89.3m in 2019.
