Sunspel turns the ordinary into extraordinary with bespoke T-shirt service

Shoppers are craving personalisation, from monogrammed lettering to on-site alterations. Now, Sunspel has upped the ante, offering bespoke T-shirts at its brand-new flagship store on Jermyn Street in London.

Founded in 1860, Sunspel has garnered a global reputation for crafting elegant wardrobe essentials from the highest-quality natural materials and innovative fabrics.

Continuing to make the extraordinary out of the ordinary, Sunspel’s bespoke T-shirt service, exclusive to the Jermyn St store, offers customers the opportunity to create a unique T-shirt.

Drawing on the brand’s rich T-shirt-making heritage, which dates to the early 1900s, each bespoke T-shirt will be expertly cut and tailored to the customer’s exact specifications in the brand’s Long Eaton factory, Sunspel’s home since 1937.

The programme extends a service the brand has long offered celebrities, stylists and costume designers, including Charlie Watts of the Rolling Stones and Daniel Craig’s James Bond.

Sitting alongside the brand’s complete menswear collection, the new two-storey Jermyn Street store will host a unique brand exhibition which showcases Sunspel’s rich history from its roots in Nottingham in 1860 to the present day. Featuring rare artefacts from Sunspel’s extensive archive, including original cellular mesh underwear and Sea Island cotton T-shirts from the early 1900s, the exhibition tells the story of the brand’s fabric innovation.

The space will serve as a venue for community events and personal styling appointments.
