Baird Group’s Suit Direct is launching a budget tailoring line called Everyday Occasions tomorrow, 17 March, with suits retailing at just £89 “in a bid to help customers look their best for less” amid the cost-of-living crisis.

Stockist of menswear brands including Ted Baker and Marc Darcy, as well as Baird Group in-house brands Limehaus, Antique Rogue and Racing Green, Suit Direct’s Everyday Occasions is its very first own brand range, to be available both in-store and online.

The collection will offer a selection of matching jackets and trousers in four core colours; black, blue, charcoal and navy and, to complete the look, from next Wednesday 22 March, customers will be able to add a shirt for £19.99 and a tie for £9.99. The shirts will come in two colours, and the ties in five – with two blade widths.

The “no compromise range” will be accompanied by a complementary style and fitting service across all of Suit Direct’s stores nationwide.

Baird Group Trading Director Matthew Saunders, said: “While many consumers are tightening their belts, a suit is a non-negotiable wardrobe staple, so it’s important that we offer a range for every budget. We have long been believers that a suit is an investment that can be worn many ways, so we’re glad to launch Everyday Occasions. A classic, versatile range that can be worn on numerous occasions, from weddings, proms, races or for work.’

“We know value for money matters more than ever to shoppers, so we’ve supported them with our classic, timeless suits at a more affordable price whilst maintaining the same high quality that our customers have come to expect. Coupled with our complementary in-store fitting service, consumers can feel confident knowing they’re wearing the perfect fit, whatever the occasion.”
