StyleSwap ‘digital conscious platform’ for fashion announces beta launch

Buying and reselling fashion platform StyleSwap has announced its beta launch will take place on 30 June 2021.

With a focus on disrupting the traditional market space, making the buying and reselling of fashion cost and time-effective, StyeSwap aims to make it an “enjoyable, creative and collaborative experience” for all.

The platform's innovative AI helps users find great fashion matched to their body shape, style and chosen occasion.

Founder Josephine Waddington has designed a destination for those who are looking to embrace the circularity of fashion, promoting products and brands that were made to last. She has built a team of experts and is set to evolve AI based technology with considered solutions set to simplify shopping.

The AI technology personalises each user’s shopping experience based on their style and body shape leading with a vision for shop ‘by fit’, ‘by aesthetic’, ‘by moment’ or ‘by expression’.

Waddington said: “I founded StyleSwap as I felt strongly that I wanted to positively contribute to the much needed change in our fashion industry. I have always loved the art of shopping, expressing style is a liberating experience.

“I wanted to show customers that you can look great and be creative. StyleSwap is good for the planet and great for your wallet. One of the many challenges of shopping pre-loved is sizing and photography, two areas we are excited to disrupt.”

Waddington firmly believes that seeing well photographed products on “real people with unique style” automatically makes it much easier to imagine how each item will look and feel on the body.

With consumers waking up to the true impact of fashion, paired with the desire to monetise their wardrobes, the demand is on the increase as people start to see more positive change in the industry.
