Stone Island launches AW24 “community” campaign starring Liam Gallagher
Stone Island has launched the latest in its series of campaigns which put a focus on the brand’s “community”, this time for AW24 and starring Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher – in timely fashion given the band’s reunion tour announcement last week.
Gallagher, a well snapped long-time Stone Island fan, answers a series of 10 random questions – as per the original SS24 campaign which ran in January 2024 starring actor Jason Statham and rapper Tricky – while wearing an archive ‘AW '983 '984’ cotton canvas jacket with thick matte PVC coating.
Asked if he prefers the desert, forest, mountain or beach, Gallagher answers: “Any of them as long as there’s a cheeky little bar.” Clearly his trademark swagger is still very much there.
As well as Gallagher, others in the campaign sporting new AW24 Stone Island jackets and partaking in a short Q&A include DJ and producer Peggy Gou – the first female “community” member to be featured in a Stone Island campaign, actor and curator Russell Tovey, and musician and skateboarder Sage Elsesser.
This series of portraits, shot by photographer David Sims, is capped off with architect and designer Philippe Starck, artist Alexandre Diop, parkour athlete Davide Garzetti, photographer Liam MacRae, music producer Axl Beats, and graphic designer Yoshirotten.
A statement about the new campaign reads: “Universal and eclectic, the Stone Island community is once again represented by a diverse ensemble coming from the worlds of music, sport, art and the thriving spaces in between”.
Last week Levi's revealed a collection of Oasis t-shirts to mark the 30th anniversary of the band's breakthrough Definitely Maybe album.
