StockX sees Oasis x Adidas resale prices double ahead of Wembley tour return
Ahead of Oasis’s return to Wembley Stadium for a further two dates - on 27 and 28 September - on its sell-out Live ’25 tour, the band’s collaborations with Adidas are generating a "major buzz on the secondary market".
That’s according to StockX, the US-based online resale marketplace for sneakers, apparel and accessories, which is seeing limited-edition sneakers and tour jerseys being snapped up at a rapid pace, with fans paying "significant premiums" to get hold of them.
Released yesterday on StockX, and already seeing 330 sales, the ‘Adidas x Liam Gallagher Achille SPZL’ in stone khaki is trading for around $100 (£73) above the original retail price, while the ‘Adidas x Noel Gallagher Marathon SPZL’ in night navy is already seeing 256 sales, also commanding a $100 premium.
Meanwhile, Oasis x Adidas tour jerseys have seen 522 trades in the black colourway and 386 in the blue, both reselling for around $200 (£146), which is double the original retail value.
StockX points to the Gallagher brothers’ "cultural influence remaining as strong as ever", which is now translating into real consumer demand – with strong appetite from fans and collectors alike.
Ahead of the first Live ’25 tour dates in July, which kicked off at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on 4 July, then headed to Oasis’s home city of Manchester in mid-July before five dates at Wembley Stadium towards the end of the month and start of August, a wave of pop-up Oasis merchandise ‘fan stores’ opened to feed demand for the upcoming gigs.
The first of those opened at The Avenue, Spinningfields, Manchester, on 20 June, with much of the official Adidas Originals x Oasis collaboration collection selling out within days of release.
Resellers on StockX and other resale platforms are now feeling the benefit of getting their hands on said pieces early doors.
