Stella McCartney announces new kidswear licensing partnership
Stella McCartney has announced a new licensing partnership for the development, production and distribution of Stella McCartney Kids with Altana, which also develops kidswear for Moschino, CP Company and Paul & Shark.
While all Stella McCartney Kids products have always been designed by Stella McCartney’s design team, with McCartney “fully integrated in every step of the design process”, Simonetta previously held the license to manufacture, distribute and sell the kidswear since 2021.
The new partnership with Altana, which was founded by Marina Salamon in 1982 and has long-standing expertise in childrenswear, “brings together two like-minded businesses, united by a shared belief in creating products with purpose - combining innovation, craftsmanship and conscious design”.
Now, a certified Benefit company, Altana integrates responsibility, transparency and social impact into every stage of its operations, aligning closely with Stella McCartney’s own philosophy and brand values.
With specialised knowledge across the full production chain, from design to distribution, Altana will support the continued evolution of Stella McCartney Kids.
Since its inception, Stella McCartney Kids has “championed a new generation of eco warriors” by designing collections that respect animals, people and the planet. Through this new collaboration, the brand continues to build on that vision, creating playful, conscious childrenswear with a lighter footprint.
