Spring Fair to launch new ‘Design’ destination
Home, gift and fashion trade show Spring Fair will be introducing a new sourcing destination for interior designers and architects under the banner of ‘Design’ at the next edition, taking place from 1-4 February 2026 at NEC Birmingham.
Also targeting the hospitality sector, it will be a “networking hub” connecting designers, developers and design-orientated retailers with an exclusive edit of design-led suppliers.
Responding to the increasing convergence between commercial interiors, retail and residential design, ‘Design’ will showcase a refined selection of “statement pieces and occasional furniture”, as well as textiles, lighting, ceramics and decorative finishes from premium UK and international brands.
Gareth Watkins, Editor of Design at Spring Fair, said: “Design represents a significant evolution for Spring Fair and a bold step into the design and specification market. We’re creating a space that sits at the intersection of creativity, craftsmanship and commercial application.
“The design community is increasingly looking for fresh sources of inspiration and specification-ready suppliers, and we believe Design at Spring Fair will deliver exactly that. Design is no longer a luxury, it’s a requirement.”
As well as hosting new to market design brands, confirmed exhibitors include Coach House, Rama Carpets featuring Christopher Guy and Calvin Klein, Clare Wright Art, Lip Ceramics, Bowron Sheepskins, Maison Marguerite and Urban Nature Culture.
Faye Bovingdon, Director at Coach House, said: “We’re incredibly proud to advise and support Spring Fair on the launch of Design. As a brand that has long bridged the worlds of design and retail, we see this as a unique opportunity to bring together creative and commercial sides of the industry, from interior designers and architects to hoteliers and retailers.
“Design at Spring Fair will become a place where ideas and products meet, inspiring spaces that truly elevate how we live, work and relax.”
Set within a newly designed premium environment, positioned at the entrance to Hall 6 at the NEC, the new destination will also feature ‘The Design Studio’, an elegant new space combining trend-focused presentations with an ambient bar area “for conversation and inspiration”.
News of the launch of Design follows last week’s announcement that Spring Fair will be introducing a dedicated new fashion destination for 2026, bringing together apparel, accessories and jewellery under a single platform for retailers and brands.
Fashion at Spring Fair will feature themed areas including The Style Atelier, which will host trend forecasts, “styling masterclasses” and curated showcases.
The New Business Pavilion will highlight emerging brands such as Nudie Jewellery, Artemis Muse and Livia Betancourt, while a selection of established brands, including Urban Bliss, Lighthouse Clothing, Nina Murati, Decollage, Isle & Stars, Luella, and Girl in Mind, will also be present.
