Sports Direct has opened the doors to a brand-new 35,000 sq ft store in Preston, as part of the group’s strategic expansion plans.

The store, which is situated in Deepdale Shopping Park houses Sports Direct, USC, Evans Cycles and GAME as well as a Belong esports arena.

The new store offers popular sportswear brands including Nike, Adidas, Asics and Under Armour, alongside sections dedicated to specialist disciplines, including running, football, and outdoor pursuits across menswear, womenswear and kidswear.

The store will also feature a USC, GAME, Evans Cycles and a dedicated gaming and social experience zone.

James France, Group Head of Real Estate at Frasers Group said: “With each new store opening, we continue to establish ourselves as the leading destination for sports and lifestyle. Our expansion plans for the UK & Europe are huge, and we’re delighted to be opening new stores in key markets as we continue to invest significantly into physical retail.”

Sports Direct’s parent company Frasers Group is continuing to raising the bar for retail with investment and expansion plans already announced for this year. The company recently opened a new flagship store in Birmingham’s city centre.

Earlier this year, Manchester Arndale announced that Sports Direct will be doubling the size of its location at the shopping centre, signing a new 15-year lease for a flagship store.
