Sosandar appoints interim non-exec Chairman following death of previous chair
Sosandar has appointed Nick Mustoe as Interim Non-Executive Chairman following the death of Bill Murray, the previous Non-Executive Chairman.
Last month, the company announced the sad and sudden news of the death of its Non-Executive Chairman, Bill Murray. Nick Mustoe, who was previously the Non-Executive Director, will step into Murray’s role on an interim basis until a permanent Chairman is appointed.
Ali Hall and Julie Lavington, Co-CEOs of Sosandar, said: "Bill has left a lasting legacy to the business and his dedication and commitment to the success and growth of Sosandar will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and condolences to Bill's family and loved ones during this terribly difficult and sad time."
Mustoe began working in marketing in 1981 and by 1993 he had started his own agency, Mustoes Merriman Levy. In 2008, Mustoes Merriman Levy merged with PR agency Geronimo to form Kindred, which he currently leads as CEO.
Simultaneously to his roles at Sosandar and Kindred, Mustoe is also chairman of Kempton Park Racecourse, Big Sofa Technologies Group, ABC Connection Limited and Starlight Children's Foundation.
Nick Mustoe, Interim Non-Executive Chairman of Sosandar, commented: "While it is in incredibly sad circumstances that I take this role, as Bill was a fantastic Chairman and has left a lasting legacy to the business, I am proud to have been appointed as Interim Non-Executive Chairman.
“I look forward to working with Ali, Julie, Steve and the rest of the Board as the Group continues to move forward on its journey to become one of the largest womenswear brands globally."
