Online women's fashion brand Sosandar has appointed former Superdry executive Jon Wragg to its board of directors.

Wragg held a number of executive positions at Superdry from 2014 to 2021 and oversaw sales in e-commerce tripling over three years, while in the wholesale division he saw sales doubling. He was also responsible for establishing global partnerships opening about 500 franchise stores in 65 countries.

Before this Wragg spent seven years at ASDA WalMart and 26 years at The Very Group (formerly known as Littlewoods), where he was responsible for creating a portfolio of new web-based niche businesses.

Sosandar reported in early April that in the fourth quarter of its 2022 fiscal year it had achieved "very strong trading across all channels". It also announced the extension of its partnership with Next, which will see its products sold through the retailer's 'Platform Plus'. The company also entered a new wholesale agreement with The Very Group in March.

Bill Murray, Non-Executive Chairman commented: "Jon brings extensive experience in fashion retail, partnerships and leveraging digital capabilities. He was at Littlewoods when online fashion retailing first came to prominence and has vast knowledge of running a successful e-commerce business. We look forward to benefitting from his guidance over the coming years as the Group continues to execute on its growth strategy and looks to realise its vision of becoming the go-to one-stop shop for fashion forward women."
