Snow + Rock announces "statement" store for Bluewater
Outdoor sports specialist Snow + Rock has revealed it will open one of its biggest stores yet at the Bluewater shopping destination in Kent later this year.
The retailer will open a 13,000 sq ft store on the mall's Upper Rose Gallery this November stocking skiwear, climbing and snow sports gear for men, women and children from brands such as Arc’teryx, Fjall Raven, Patagonia, Kjus, Icebreaker, Garmin and Rab.
As well as the clothing and equipment the store will offer a range of services including boot fitting and a snowboard care area. A Runners Need shop-in-shop will also feature in the store offering products from world-leading running brands alongside expert advice and free gait analysis.
Snow + Rock was founded in 1982 on High Street Kensington, London and was acquired by AS Adverture Group in 2015, which also owns Cotswold Outdoor, Cycle Surgery and Runners Need.

Landsec portfolio director Russell Loveland added: “This one-stop shop for outdoor sports lovers will bring a whole new experience-led retail offer to Bluewater, providing something new and exciting for guests. We have worked very closely with Snow + Rock to deliver another statement store that we are confident will engage Bluewater’s guests, providing an experience unavailable anywhere else in the South East.”
The announcement of the Snow + Rock store comes on the back of recent openings at Bluewater including Godiva and Neal’s Yard Remedies along with beauty brand Smashbox’s first store outside London and etailer Missguided’s statement store on the Lower Rose Gallery. US premium brand Coach is set to open a store this autumn.
