SKIMS hires Chief People Officer to lead ‘talent operations and company culture’
Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS brand has appointed human resources (HR) veteran Kim Seymour as Chief People Officer to lead ‘talent operations, organisational design and company culture’, reporting directly to CEO and co-founder Jens Grede.
Seymour has worked in HR for almost three decades and most recently founded and ran Leadership Amplified, a strategic HR advisory company working with CEOs, executives and boards on “complex talent challenges”.
Prior to that, Seymour served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Etsy, and she has also held roles at American Express, Home Depot Supply and General Electric.
In her new role at SKIMS, Seymour is tasked with driving and scaling the talent and people operations across the brand’s entire fashion, lifestyle and beauty portfolio.
Jens Grede said: “Kim is a cultural powerhouse, tying high level strategic thinking to people operations. She has steered companies through various stages of growth, and I know she will inspire and push our teams to achieve their full potential.”
On her new role, Seymour commented: “I am truly inspired by the extraordinary business that the SKIMS team has built. It’s visionary. A key part of the company’s success has been bringing in strong talent who are singularly good at what they do.
“This new era that SKIMS is about to enter – with more reach, more product innovation, more partnerships and collaborations – requires more focus on the people who are delivering.”
Last month saw SKIMS launch its second collaboration collection with The North Face, featuring a ski-inspired expanded line-up of silhouettes, functional accessories and a first-ever kidswear offer.
