Skechers opens at centre:mk
American sneaker brand Skechers has now opened its new 2,800 sq ft store at 669 Midsummer Arcade in the centre:mk shopping centre in Milton Keynes, in what is the centre’s 40thanniversary year.
Jointly owned by Hermes Investment Management, the £36 billion investment manager, and AustralianSuper, centre:mk has also just added creative stationery and lifestyle brand, Neon Sheep, to its retail mix at 4/6 Sunset Walk.
Ed Sellick, asset manager at Hermes Investment Management, commented: “Over the last four decades we have welcomed many exciting brands looking to locate their stores at centre:mk, and the latest openings from Skechers and Neon Sheep are a great endorsement of maintaining our future as one of the leading retail and leisure destinations in the UK.”
“The relationship between store and consumer has changed since centre:mk opened 40 years ago. Stores continue to play an important role for brands and our strategy is to ensure centre:mk remains highly relevant and appealing for new brands, while understanding better the way people shop and continuing to invest in the centre to enhance the environment so our retailers can thrive.”
The new Skechers store is carrying both the brand’s lifestyle and performance lines across men’s, women’s and children’s footwear.
