Six Stories appoints Commercial Director to fuel next phase of growth

Altrincham-founded bridal and occasionwear brand Six Stories has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Richard Davies as Commercial Director, as it eyes further expansion in the UK and internationally.

Davies joins following a seven-year stint on the board at Absolute Collagen, where he was most recently the Trading Director. During this time, worked closely with founders Maxine and Darcy Laceby and CEO Frances Russell to scale the supplement brand. His track record includes international rollouts, securing private equity investment, building financial and operational foundations and growing the team to nearly 100.

Founded in 2019 by husband-and-wife duo Lucy and Ross Menghini, Six Stories has quickly established itself as a disruptor in the bridalwear market. The brand has been named on The Sunday Times 100 list of fastest-growing companies for two consecutive years, with revenues reaching £10 million in 2024 and projected to climb to £15 million in 2025.

At Six Stories, Davies will work alongside co-founder Ross Menghini to oversee operations, finance and commercial strategy. His remit includes accelerating growth, supporting international expansion, and strengthening the brand’s loyal community.

Just last month, Six Stories launched in both Nordstrom and Macy’s, marking its first-ever US retail partnerships despite 25% of its business already coming from the US market. Its collections are now stocked at Selfridges, ASOS, Next, Very, Macy’s and Nordstrom.
