Shein launches second licensed collection with The Rolling Stones

Fast fashion retailer Shein has launched a second licensed to collection with The Rolling Stones, in this the band’s 60th anniversary year, due to the “overwhelming success” of the first collection.

Thanks to their extensive career and huge multi-generational fanbase, the British band has sold over 250 million records and accrued over 600 million views on YouTube, so the new men’s and women’s collection with Shein has a vast target market, along with the retailer’s existing one.

To honour the band’s special anniversary, Shein presents 59 new products in the collection, including jackets, jeans, skirts, dresses and T-shirts that “channel the band’s genuine spirit of rock ‘n’ roll”.

Last month, Shein announced the launch of Shein Exchange, an integrated online peer-to-peer resale destination to buy and sell previously owned Shein products.

With ease of access through the existing Shein app, the new Shein Exchange feature simplifies the resale process so it is easier for sellers to list their items through a seamless interface that pre-populates a Shein customer's previous purchases – making list-to-sale quick and easy.

Shein has previously come under criticism due to its lack of eco-friendly and sustainable materials. The company is however seen as a fast-fashion success story, with low prices and fast trend reaction. In September, Shein announced plans to reduce carbon emissions within its operations by 2030.
