Sézane supports UK's Pink Ribbon Foundation with pink collection
Sézane, the online French fashion brand, has extended the reach of its annual Pink October initiative to support UK breast cancer charity, the Pink Ribbon Foundation.
Launching today on its international website, which includes a dedicated UK version, is a pink-centric "Solidarity Capsule" collection with 10% of today's sales (30 September) across the site going to the charity.
The brand, which also has a store in London's Notting Hill, will also be donating to charities globally which support breast cancer research and treatment. Founder Morgane Sézalory said Pink October was "a month that reinforces Sézane’s commitments: to use our voice and creations to support causes that affect us all."
Included in the "Solidarity Capsule" are vibrant knits, printed skirts, blouses and dresses, a selection of accessories along with vintage inspired denim.
Sézane is known for its limited edition capsules which drop on its site on a regular basis, complementing its underlying seasonal collections. Popular items often sell out within minutes with customer returns added to the site, typically on a Wednesday.
It drives demand through its creative use of social media, notably Instagram, and is known for refusing to hold sales. Instead it prefers to bring out "Archives" from past seasons where its fans can shop at lower prices.
The brand was founded online but has a number of "appartements" in Paris, Aix-en-Provence, Lille, London and New York where a selection of its products are available. It also has a concierge service to enable customers to collect or return online orders and take advantage of services such as personalisation and alterations.
