Sézane, the contemporary French fashion brand, has landed at Liberty with a pop-up shop showcasing the best of its collections along with a huge art installation that dominates the store's atrium to celebrate the design and craftsmanship of its creations.

The pop-up shop on the second floor showcases a selection of Sézane’s knitwear, leather goods, jewellery, footwear and ready-to-wear and will run until 15 January.

An imposing installation in the main atrium of the historic department store depicts a dressmaker's dummy and accessories, while the windows of the store on Great Marlborough Street have been given over to some of the brand's most recognisable pieces.

A pop-up of its brother brand Octobre Editions has also been installed on the lower ground floor, this will run for shorter time and closes on 28 September. The windows and installation will be in place until 3 November.

Sézane founder Morgane Sézalory said of the collaboration: “I’ve always admired Liberty, a home to boundless inspiration, the greatest artisans and free-spirited thinkers.

“This project is a chance for two like-minded creative movements to return to their roots and express a shared love of savoir-faire, cutting-edge design, and beautiful materials and prints that transcend time.”

Lydia King, buying director at Liberty, added: "We are delighted to welcome Sézane to Liberty for an exclusive pop-up experience, bringing together the Parisian charm of Sézane with the unique artistic heritage of Liberty.

"This collaboration celebrates the synergy between our customer bases – those who appreciate timeless style coupled with meticulous craftsmanship. Sézane’s commitment to design aligns beautifully with our values at Liberty, making this partnership not only exciting but also a reflection of our ongoing dedication to offering our customers the best in thoughtfully curated fashion."

Sézane, which was founded just over 10 years ago, has boomed in recent years due to its affordable take on cool French style. Established as an online brand and driven heavily by social media it has been expanding its physical presence globally in recent years and now has two standalone permanent stores in London, in Marylebone and Notting Hill. The brand recently ventured into kidswear with the launch of Petit Sézane.
