Luxury department store group Selfridges has restructured its top management team as managing director Anne Pitcher takes on a wider role.

Pitcher will become managing director of the Selfridges Group with responsibility for its retail businesses in the UK, Netherlands and Canada. Customer director Simon Forster has been promoted to her former role of managing director of Selfridges & Co.

Paul Kelly, formerly managing director of the group, has also taken on a new role as managing director of the its property arm in the UK and Europe, Wittington Property Investments. Kelly will be responsible for the development of projects such as the Selfridges Hotel and Neighbourhood plan.

Selfridges Group deputy chairman Alannah Weston said she was delighted to welcome the three executives to their new roles and added: "I have had the absolute pleasure of working with each of these individuals over many years and it is a reflection of the talent we continue to build across Selfridges Group that we are able to fill these important roles by nurturing our talent and planned succession from within the business."
