Selfridges launches sex and sleep wellbeing pop-up
Selfridges has launched a sex and sleep wellbeing pop-up at its London department store pop-up space, helping customers embrace both sex and sleep with greater clarity through a curation and products and services.
The pop-up also offers acupuncture sessions by Pricc, hypnotherapy from House of Wellbeing and the exclusive launch of Maude, a modern sexual wellness start up where Dakota Johnson is Co-Creative Director.
Customers will be able to shop new products from brands such as LBDO and The Oh Collective, which aims to change conversation around pleasure, and explore the latest sleep-tech.
With sales of wellbeing supplements, superfoods and ingestibles up almost 125% at Selfridges since last year and almost 700% compared to pre-pandemic, the retailer has also launched The Feel Good Bar as a permanent wellbeing destination at its London flagship.
Visitors at the bar can explore more than 150 products in wellbeing innovation, ranging from gut health to hormones, hangover cures to sleep hacking. The bar will also host residencies from brands rethinking drinking culture.
Meanwhile, The Cinema at Selfridges will be open for sleep sessions, inviting customers to take power naps in "serene surroundings", alongside other events throughout July.
In September, the retailer will launch By Dr Vali Wellness Centre, a medical wellness destination offering personalised ways to boost wellbeing, including bio-hacking, IV drips and hyperbaric oxygen therapies.
Sebastian Manes, Executive Buying and Merchandising Director at Selfridges said: " The pandemic has placed wellbeing in the spotlight and accelerated the evolution of the wellbeing ecosystem. As a result, wellbeing is becoming ever more holistic and tech driven.
"People are re-evaluating what feeling good actually means and embracing new ideas. We want to help our customers to live brighter by offering experiences and solutions in a way that is non-conventional and future-thinking.
