Selfridges increases tailoring offer by 75% and introduces made-to-measure

Selfridges has increased its men’s fashion tailoring offer by 75% for SS23 as it has seen “an increase in demand”, and has added a made-to-measure service across eight brands, including Giorgio Armani, Prada, Tom Ford and Thom Browne.

Customers are now able to make their appointment via the Selfridges website and, once booked, they will be welcomed to Selfridges Personal Shopping where their exclusive experience will begin.

An in-store suite will be transformed into a luxurious “tailoring workroom” where customers can discover specialist tailoring brands, also including Ozwald Boateng, Zegna, Corneliani and Eleventy.

Each brand will bring its unique aesthetic and tailoring expertise to stores over select dates. This month sees Ozwald Boateng personally on hand at Selfridges London to fit customers for their made-to-measure suit, while also giving them a unique opportunity to create one-of-a-kind pieces for their wardrobe.

Boateng will also have appointments in April at Selfridges Manchester Exchange, where Eleventy will also host appointments, in addition to taking bookings for Selfridges Birmingham.

Thom Browne will be at Selfridges London on 15-16 April 2023, where customers can experience Browne’s attention to detail.

Selfridges Director of Menswear, Bosse Myhr, told WWD: “The experience of purchasing a made-to-measure suit is a special one; it’s a considered investment that should last a lifetime.

“The intention is to bring a unique brand mix that appeals to a broad cross-section of customers, and considers how people are dressing.”
