Self Portrait opens store in New York's Soho
Self Portrait, the London-based affordable luxury brand, has opened its first store in New York, at 158 Mercer Street in Soho.
The store has opened as the brand drops its AW19 collection featuring exclusive dress and top styles designed especially for the store.
It also stocks footwear and a selection of swimwear, which is a new category for the brand, while services offered include tailoring and alterations along with assistance with web orders.
“It has always been a dream of mine to create a space welcoming the Self-Portrait experience,” said Self Portrait founder and creative director Han Chong.
Mercer Street opens as the brand prepares to expand further internationally with a planned new store in Bangkok and the addition of more wholesale accounts globally.
Founded in 2013 by Central Saint Martins graduate Chong the brand is now stocked in more than 375 locations across three continents including at big name retailers from Net-A-Porter, to Matchesfashion.com and Selfridges.
In March of last year, it opened its first flagship store on London’s Albemarle Street.
