Scoop to move to Old Billingsgate for one season

Contemporary fashion trade show Scoop in the City will be relocating to Old Billingsgate in the City of London for its February 2020 edition for one season only.

The show, which usually takes place at the Saatchi Gallery, in Chelsea needs to move for its 9-11 February AW 2020 edition as the gallery is staging an exhibition of 150 original artefacts from Tutankhamun’s tomb.

Scoop in the Summer was staged last week at the gallery and featured a number of first-time exhibitors including, M.A.B.E, Self Cinema, YOLKE, Narces, I Candi Rocks, Miki MIALY,La Cabane De Stella, OOF, Sneaky Steve and Autumn Cashmere.

Returning brands included: Ossie Clark x Primrose Park, PS by Paul Smith, Liberty London, Charlotte Spaare, Charlotte Simone, Hayley Menzies, Scotch and Soda, and Paul and Joe Sister.

UK and international buyers were in attendance from premium department stores Galeries Lafayette, Liberty London, Harvey Nichols, The Conran Shop and Net-A-Porter.com, well as independent boutiques such as Bishop Phillpott, Doyles, The Hambledon, The Dressing Room, The Mercantile London, Precious London, Jules B and Young Ideas. Buyers and retailers also travelled from Ireland from stores such as Olori and Arnotts.

Karen Radley, Founder and Managing Director of Scoop, who curates the show's brand edit each season, said: “Scoop is renowned internationally by designers, fashion buyers and industry experts for its exclusive presentation and expertly curated edit of designers and labels from Britain and the rest of the world. It was wonderful to welcome an exclusive selection of new designers this season, as well as some beautiful new collections from returning labels.”

Old Billingsgate is the site of London's famous fish market, which operated at the Victorian Grade II listed building until 1982. Located on the north bank of the River Thames, it is one of the city's premier event spaces.
