Contemporary boutique trade show Scoop, which takes place at London's Saatchi Gallery later this month, has teamed up with Alexa Chung's shopping platform VILLOID to support new designers by offering them a space at the show.

New brands featured on the newly revamped VILLOID platform, including Milk Tooth LDN, Lovers & Drifters and Hades, will be given space at the event, which runs from 28 to 30 January at the Chelsea-based gallery.

VILLOID recently announced a relaunch, which involved a move into "hyper-curated" shopping whereby leading influencers on the platform were invited to open their own web shops. A new shop is opened every day and Chung's own shop was the first to go live, with other names to open stores including Pixie Geldof, Poppy Delevingne, Gia Coppola, Leith Clark and Anna Z Gray.

Chung, who is co-founder of VILLOID, said of the initiative: “I love the thought that there’s a whole generation of talented kids out there, at universities and art schools. We don’t know who they are yet, but there’s the next Donatella or Coco sitting at a sewing machine right now with bleeding fingertips. Villoid can give them the platform to reach their potential."

Karen Radley, founder of Scoop, added: “We are very happy to join forces with Alexa Chung’s VILLOID at Scoop this season. Offering a platform for young brands is part of our DNA and our partnership with VILLOID will give the designers exposure to a new audience, including an important network of buyers and retailers that can make a real difference to a relatively young business.”
