The Scoop and Pure London trade shows will be merged into one new concept event, Scoop X Pure, for the September 2021 edition.

Curated by Scoop founder and managing director Karen Radley, Scoop X Pure, will be staged at London's Saatchi Gallery, which is the usual home of Scoop (Pure London was previously held at London Olympia), the shows' owner Hyve has announced.

The event is promising to be a “best in show”, highlighting the most exciting collections and labels across the Scoop and Pure London rosters.

Designed to offer a “department store” atmosphere, Scoop X Pure will not only showcase both emerging and established UK and international designers but will also feature a selected edit of home and lifestyle products.

Following the cancellation of Jacket Required’s July edition, Scoop X Pure will also feature a selected menswear edit, with a view to showcasing labels with both a men’s and womenswear offering.

Radley said of the move: “Scoop and Pure London have coexisted for some time in the UK capital and this is an exciting opportunity to unite the best of both. I am looking forward to welcoming our loyal visitors and exhibitors, as well as many new faces to the Saatchi Gallery for this unique event.”

Pure London Event Director, Gloria Sandrucci added: “Bringing the Hyve fashion portfolio closer together has been a key strategic priority for the business, and we are delighted to have the opportunity to offer this one of a kind show. We have been listening to our buyers and exhibitors and feel that Scoop X Pure will provide an excellent gateway back into live events following the pandemic, offering a more exclusive and safer buying environment in line with the contemporary fashion calendar.”

The announcement was welcome by exhibitors and retailers. Ian Campbell Smith, Director of Palladio Associates commented: “I am pleased to see that Scoop and Pure are uniting under one roof for what promises to be a very special show next September. I think we will see a lot of newness which retailers will be looking for after a year without being able to visit any trade shows. With Karen Radley overseeing the project I would imagine that there will be a very cohesive and well-presented roster of brands and I also think the later date in September will work for so many of us in the industry. We are looking forward to joining the show.”

Boutique owner Pamela Shiffer added: “By next September I will be so looking forward to a fashion trade show. Scoop x Pure is a great idea and I know if it is being curated and edited by Karen Radley she will make it look wonderful with new and exciting 'must have' collections."

Hyve has been unable to stage its trade shows since February 2020 due to the Covid-19 crisis. September 2020 and February 2021 editions have had to be cancelled, but the new Scoop X Pure promises "an exclusive and safe buying experience".
