Scamp & Dude opens doors to biggest store to date
British womenswear brand Scamp & Dude has opened the doors to a 1,938 sq ft store in Manchester, marking its sixth UK location and largest retail space to date.
The opening weekend kicked off with an opening party with 150 of the brand's loyal Manchester community, During which, guests got an exclusive preview of the AW24 collection. As part of the celebrations, five lightning bolts were hidden around Manchester and five shoppers won £100 vouchers to spend in store.
It comes off the back of a pop-up store the brand opened at Manchester’s Trafford Centre on 19 June, which was originally scheduled to run for three months but could now be six months and beyond due to its success.
Scamp & Dude founder and CEO, Jo Tutchener-Sharp, said: "We are thrilled to expand our physical retail presence with our largest store yet in Manchester. This new space allows us to connect even more closely with our customers and the
local community, providing a venue for exciting events and activations."
Tutchener-Sharp founded Scamp & Dude in 2016 as a kidswear brand, but it has since evolved to be 98% womenswear with categories including ready-to-wear, activewear, resort wear and sustainable denim.
As well as having been widely supported by VIP’s including Laura Whitmore, Billie Piper and Vicky McClure, Scamp & Dude is dedicated to supporting various charitable causes including for women with cancer through its ‘Super Scarves’ initiative. The most recent of which was a collaboration with Giovanna Fletcher.
The new Manchester retail space adds to the brand’s existing stores at London’s Battersea Power Station, Marlow, Cambridge and Edinburgh.
