Scamp & Dude launches charity bag campaign with Davina McCall, Alison Hammond and Kate Lawler
B Corp-certified fashion brand Scamp & Dude has launched its Swag Bags with Purpose campaign, partnering with TV presenter Davina McCall, presenter Alison Hammond and broadcaster Kate Lawler on a collection of co-designed charity bags priced at £28 each, with £10 from every sale donated directly to the trio's chosen causes.
Each bag is tied to a specific charity: McCall is supporting Brain Tumour Research Campaign, Hammond is backing Liver Cancer UK (part of British Liver Trust), and Lawler has chosen the Motor Neurone Disease Association. All three women selected charities connected to their own experiences.
Personal connections
The bags were co-designed with Scamp & Dude founder Jo Tutchener-Sharp OBE, with each design carrying meaning specific to its collaborator. McCall's bag is black with a white lightning bolt; Lawler's is pink with a red stripe.
McCall said her choice of charity was linked to her own brain surgery: "It is the charity of my brain surgeon, and he's funding research into trying to help more people have positive outcomes with their brain surgeries."
Hammond chose her charity after a family loss. "My mum died of liver cancer, so it's a very, very special charity," she said.
Lawler said she chose the Motor Neurone Disease Association after the death of a close friend. "My dear friend Tanya passed away from this last year, leaving behind her two young sons and her loving husband, Johnny," she said. "I just hope that we can raise as much money for a really good charity to do more work to help more people."
Product and campaign details
The multi-use bags are made from 100% recycled polyester, are wipe-clean, and measure 16cm by 22cm by 9.5cm. The brand positions them as beauty bags but notes they are designed for broader use, from skincare products to travel essentials.
The launch follows previous collaborations between Scamp & Dude and the same trio. The brand's collection page describes them as "back at it again" after their joint Super Scarf campaign, in which Scamp & Dude donates a scarf to a woman starting chemotherapy for every Super Scarf sold.
Scamp & Dude's charity model
The Swag Bags with Purpose campaign is part of Scamp & Dude's wider range of charity-linked products, including Super Scarves, Superhero Sleep Buddies and other lines. The brand has previously run Swag Bags campaigns with other collaborators and charities, including a 2023 edition featuring seven designs paired with seven causes.
To date, Scamp & Dude has raised over £4.3m in cash donations and products, including 92,000 items donated through its Super Scarf Mission. The brand holds B Corp certification and describes itself as "transforming the world of fashion into a force for good."
All three bags are available now through the Scamp & Dude website.
