Samantha Cameron's fledging fashion brand Cefinn has reportedly received a £400,000 injection from unnamed backers and is considering overseas expansion.

The label, which was launched 11 months ago, has to date raised £770,000 from well-heeled backers, reports the Daily Mail, but the identity of its latest investors has been kept under wraps.

Its latest batch of shares have been sold at £38 a share, a £5 per share increase on previous allocations, the newspaper has said, suggesting an increase in the business' value.

A contemporary women's brand Cefinn sells dresses ranging from around £240 to £390, based on Samantha Cameron's personal style and targeting the busy, modern woman. Tops range in price from around £150 to £220, while coats and jackets range form around £290 to £490.

As well as via its own e-commerce site the range is sold at Net-A-Porter.com and at Selfridges.com along with its stores in London, Birmingham and Manchester.
