The Mercers’ Company has today announced that luxury British footwear and handbag retailer Russell & Bromley is moving from its current shop at 117 Long Acre in Covent Garden, to a larger 3,460 sq ft unit at 107 Long Acre, this autumn.

This relocation to the new site, at the busy junction of Long Acre and Neal Street, is part of the brand’s development plans for the UK, and is a move to a much more prominent position with even greater footfall.

Andrew Bromley, owner of Russell & Bromley, said: “Our new store had to be in a prominent location within Covent Garden and this corner unit, directly opposite the tube station, was an opportunity we had to secure. The plan is to launch to the public this autumn and this larger space will provide a great backdrop for our new seasons’ collections.”

Designed by an in-house team/agency, the store includes a 1,630 sq ft lower ground floor and an 1,841 sq ft ground floor, which will showcase the brand’s exclusive and hand-crafted Italian-made products for men and women.

Simon Taylor, property director of The Mercers’ Company commented: “Russell & Bromley is a well-established and luxury brand and we are pleased to be able to provide them with this prime retail space set in the heart of Covent Garden.”
