Russell & Bromley to open first store in Birmingham

Premium footwear retail Russell & Bromley is set to open its first store in Birmingham in the city's prime shopping mall the Bullring.

News of the imminent arrival of Russell & Bromley in the upper east side of the mall comes two days after US premium accessories brand Coach revealed that it too would be taking a space in the same area of the Bullring. The new 260sqm store will trade alongside brands such as Diesel and Swarovski.

The signing follows the family-owned business' decision to open new stores in Westquay, Southampton and Victoria Gate in Leeds as it looks to bolster its presence in prime regional destinations.

Iain Mitchell, UK Commercial Director at Hammerson, said: “Following the recent announcement of Coach’s debut in Bullring, we are pleased to welcome yet another aspirational brand to Birmingham for the first time.

“Leading retailers are increasingly focusing their store expansion plans on prime regional shopping centres, and as the leading retail destination in the midlands, Bullring is the perfect fit for Russell & Bromley.”

Russell & Bromley has more than 40 stores around the UK and an e-store. As well as its own label it sells a range of premium brands such as Stuart Weitzman, Sebago and Church.
