Rupert and Buckley Clothing has produced a sustainable range of clothing in collaboration with actor and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity) Ambassador, Tom Ellis.

All the profits from the sale of the clothing range, which comprises 25 organic and sustainable items for men, women and children, will be donated to GOSH Charity.

Rupert and Buckley and Tom Ellis’s ambition is to raise over £100,000 through this initiative, with the money going towards the hospital’s most urgent needs. This includes funding vital support services at GOSH, such as the hospital’s dedicated Play team and family accommodation close by the hospital.

British actor, Tom Ellis, renowned for his roles in Lucifer and Miranda, is a GOSH Charity ambassador, visiting the hospital, attending events and participating in various fundraising initiatives for the last decade.

Ellis said: “I have had the privilege of being an ambassador for GOSH Charity for over 10 years now. It truly is one of the most special and unique children’s hospitals in the world. Every time I am there, the spirit of the children and the staff resonates through the wards and really shows how caring for people can be positive even in the most difficult of times.

“I have partnered with Rupert and Buckley because I not only love their clothes, but I am a huge supporter of their mission to be a carbon neutral company. Raising money for people who need it whilst also working with a company who make beautiful clothes and are mindful of the environment is at the heart of this project.”

The range goes on sale tomorrow (1 May) at www.rupertandbuckley.com All the clothes will be sold to order, with a 4-week delivery, to ensure this project is as sustainable as possible and with zero wastage. Sustainability is a central part of the initiative and is important to Rupert and Buckley’s approach to fashion and to Ellis as a philanthropist, which includes working to offset the carbon emissions of the production and delivery to customers.

Liz Tait, GOSH Charity’s director of fundraising said: “After what has been a challenging year for children and their families at GOSH, we are so grateful to Rupert and Buckley, and our longstanding ambassador, Tom Ellis, for pledging to support GOSH Charity as part of their exciting new clothing line. Not only will this range make a huge difference to the care we can offer families, but it will help protect the environment too – something that we at GOSH and GOSH Charity are passionate about.”

Alex Newman, CEO of Rupert and Buckley, added: “It is an honour to be working with GOSH Charity and Tom on this project. Tom and I decided to put this project together as fathers, not as a famous actor and a business owner.

“This sustainable clothing range allows people to wear the products to show support and unity for the families affected by childhood illnesses, as well as raising much needed funds and awareness for the amazing care the hospital provides these families. As a father of three small children and with a friend’s young daughter currently being given world class treatment at GOSH to save her vision, I couldn’t imagine a better beneficiary for this project.”
