Surf and snow wear women’s lifestyle brand Roxy has appointed Stephanie Micci in a newly created role as Global Creative and Design Director, ahead of International Women’s Day next week.

Micci was previously the Head of Design for Tommy Hilfiger Sport and she will now be responsible for the design direction of the Roxy brand globally, across all categories of the brand, including the women’s surf and snow collections. She will be based at the brand’s headquarters in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, France.

Micci, who has also previously held design roles at Burberry and Calvin Klein, said: “I grew up with Roxy, a cult brand that has always reflected a segway between two passions of mine, fashion and athletics. It’s a powerhouse that we all want to help thrive evermore, all with a deep respect for its DNA. On a day-to-day basis, the most fantastic thing is getting to work with wonderful people that are truly passionate about empowering women. That is truly special.”

Roxy, founded in 1990 as the sister brand of Quiksilver, produces technically innovative lifestyle and performance wear “inspired by the mountains and the waves.”
