Roger Vivier opens first dedicated headquarters and archive, Maison Vivier

Roger Vivier has opened Maison Vivier, its first dedicated headquarters and archive, in the heart of Paris’s Saint Germain. The official launch takes place today, marking a new chapter for the storied French luxury house.

Housed in a restored 18th-century hotel particulier, Maison Vivier is more than a brand residence – it is conceived as a cultural landmark. The space brings together ateliers, salons, archives and a secret garden, offering an immersive journey into the world of Roger Vivier.

At the heart of the project is the Maison’s newly curated archive, which opens to guests for the first time. Over 1,000 shoes, sketches and original documents chart the career of Monsieur Vivier, whose revolutionary designs include the stiletto heel and collaborations with Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, and Elsa Schiaparelli.

Among the treasures are a 1962 prototype for Princess Soraya, documents on Queen Elizabeth II’s Coronation shoes and the Belle Vivier, launched in 1965 for Yves Saint Laurent’s Mondrian collection.

The interiors, curated by Inès de la Fressange, pay homage to Vivier’s personal apartment. As the only person to have worked directly with the designer, de la Fressange has reimagined the spaces as a dialogue between past and present, blending classical Parisian furniture with works by modern artists and designers.

Creative Director Gherardo Felloni, who has led the house since 2018, has also imprinted his eclectic edge on the project. His studio within Maison Vivier sits alongside the new Belle Vivier 60 collection for Spring-Summer 2026, celebrating six decades of the Maison’s most iconic shoe through fresh interpretations across footwear, bags and accessories.
