Roberto Cavalli has launched an exclusive 753 sq ft pop-up shop-in-shop at Selfridges in London, showcasing its autumn 2024 pre-collection for women – running from now until 18 August.

The pop-up also presents five archive denim pieces from the luxury Italian fashion house displayed in dedicated cases, consisting of four pairs jeans in typical flamboyant style and one skirt.

The archive pieces "guide customers through a dialogue between past and present", highlighting the continuous evolution of the brand's legacy following the passing of the brand’s founder, Roberto Cavalli, in April 2024.

What’s more, the items can be made to order, providing customers with a unique connection to the brand’s heritage.

The new autumn 2024 pre-collection, designed by Fausto Puglisi, features a bold Spaghetti Western theme with Americana influences, including bandana prints mixed with various denim styles.

The ready-to-wear collection is complemented by a range of handbags, including the iconic ‘Roar Bag’ in shades of white, black, and green.

The pop-up space is designed to offer an immersive shopping experience and is adorned with two striking bandana print walls with a "cushion" effect, adding a touch of visual intrigue.

The layout comprises two pairs of matte golden hanging racks, three display tables, and five mannequins presenting looks from the new collection. Two prominent Roberto Cavalli logos "further enhance the luxurious ambience".

First of the five archive pieces, ‘Denim Pants A’, are a pair of cropped jeans from the brand’s SS 2001 collection, adorned with transparent heat-adhesive sequin scales and embroidery.

Then comes ‘Denim Pants B’, which are flared jeans from the SS 2000 collection. They come in 10-ounce stretch denim with a dark wash and sanded finish. The low waist and intricate zebra pattern in gold and silver sequins, embroidered post-wash, "highlight commitment to detail and luxury".

Next up is ‘Denim Skirt C’, also from the SS 2001 collection, described as an "innovative long skirt that redefines denim fashion". Originally crafted from 10-ounce rigid denim jeans, the 100% cotton garment underwent a transformation post-wash. The skirt has a raw edge waist and is embellished with a fireworks graphic in gold sequins.

‘Denim Pants D’ are from the Roberto Cavalli SS 2000 collection. They are flared and come in a raw wash with a hand-printed mini zebra design in gold glitter. The low waist and unique print technique "highlights the brand’s dedication to innovative fashion and high quality craftsmanship".

Last but not least, ‘Denim Pants E’ – another early 2000s archive piece, have a regular fit and more classic silhouette. They come in a light blue wash with a sanded finish and are described as "perfect for showcasing understated luxury". Not something that Cavalli is perhaps best known for!
