Rising fashion star Richard Quinn has been signed up to join the Designers at Debenhams programme and will be producing a range of dresses for the store to launch this Spring.

Quinn, who graduated from Central Saint Martins' MA course in 2016, specialises in bold head-to-toe floral looks and has been cited as "one to watch" by numerous media outlets including The Sunday Times Style, Dazed, i-D and The New York Times. He will be showing his AW18 collection at London Fashion Week tomorrow (20 February).

For Debenhams he will produce a range of 12 dresses, priced from £69 to £149, which will be sold online and in selected stores from May. A second collection is due to appear in the autumn.

Debenhams managing director of fashion and home Steven Cook said Quinn had a "fresh and unique aesthetic", while Quinn praised the retailer for its "strong heritage in collaborating with designers and creating accessible high street collections".

The Designers at Debenhams stable was the trailblazer for designer/high street collaborations and its current line-up of designers includes Preen, Patrick Grant, Henry Holland, Matthew Williamson and Julien Macdonald.

Debenhams is the second major retailer to recognise Quinn's potential. In 2017 he was awarded the H&M Design Award and produced a collection for the global fashion giant which sold out as it hit the shop floor of its Oxford Street flagship. As well as developing his own brand, Richard Quinn runs his own print studio in Peckham, South London.
