Represent names former Dr. Martens CEO as Chairman

British luxury streetwear brand Represent has named former Dr. Martens CEO Kenny Wilson as Chairman and Non-Executive Director, as part of its ongoing strategy to accelerate growth and global expansion.

Wilson left his role at Dr. Martens after almost seven years in March 2025. Prior to that he spent six years and nine months as CEO of Cath Kidston, following a role as President Europe at Claire’s for almost three years.

He also spent 18 years and eight months – from June 1990 to January 2009 – in various roles at Levi Strauss Europe, culminating as SVP Commercial Operations for the last three years after being President Levi’s Brand for four years.

In his new role at Represent, Wilson will "act as a conduit" between Represent and True, the investment and innovation firm which acquired a minority stake in the brand in November 2024.

Drawing upon his proven track record in managing and scaling global brands, Represent and True will look to Wilson’s wealth of knowledge across multiple fashion categories to support the brand’s strategy in both luxury fashion and performance sportswear, with a view to expanding reach in the UK, US and in other international markets.

Paul Spencer, CEO of Represent, said: "As soon as we met Kenny, we knew he would be a great addition to the Represent team. His strength lies not just in his wealth of experience in scaling global consumer brands at the highest level, but also in his work ethic, vision and strategic approach to business.

"We felt instantly that his values perfectly aligned with ours and he will no doubt be a formidable asset and support to our ongoing mission; to build the best brand in the world."

Wilson added: "I am delighted to be joining Paul and the team at Represent and to be partnering with True. Represent has driven remarkable growth in recent years and that is testimony to the strength of the brand and team.

"I’m excited by the potential of the Represent and 247 brands and I look forward to helping the team grow them around the world."

Founded by brothers George and Michael Heaton in 2011, and led by CEO Paul Spencer, Represent has quickly scaled - serving over 350,000 of its online community in 2023 and securing a "growing desirable portfolio of wholesale partners".

In March 2024, Represent opened its first standalone store in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, followed by a flagship store at 21 New Cathedral Street in Manchester in October 2024, with a store set to open in London’s Soho this summer.

This month, Wilson has also been named as Non-Executive Director of French outerwear brand K-Way, which opened a new store on London’s Kings Road in February 2025. It also has its sights set on further openings in the capital and beyond.
