Quiz to open up to 10 new UK stores as it bounces back after restructure
High street womenswear retailer Quiz has ‘earmarked’ 5-10 new UK store openings over the next year as its bounce back continues following a major restructure in February 2025 – designed to sharpen the business’s offer and make it more agile.
It also follows posting a double-digit increase in store sales in the summer. The Glasgow-based brand reported a 14% increase in like-for-like store sales across July and August, while online sales also rose by 5%.
Utilising a more aspirational store concept unveiled at Braehead Glasgow in September “as a design blueprint”, Quiz is now seeking a focused number of new sites to showcase the brand’s extended product offering.
The company is looking at regions across the UK, with a focus on London and the south of England.
Sheraz Ramzan, CEO of Quiz Clothing, said: “We have evolved our retail formula at Quiz and, encouraged by a strong uplift in like-for-like retail sales over the summer, we are confident the new strategy is working.
“The plan is to now expand in the right locations through units that provide the best possible backdrop for our extended product offering. This will be underpinned by an improved capex and return model with more flexible lease terms.”
The relocated 1,800 sq ft Quiz store at Braehead in Glasgow has introduced a “more sophisticated shopping experience”, with a ‘softer’ and elevated design concept framed by white and gold fittings. There are also in-store screens for video-led campaign content and “enhanced digital offerings”.

Extended Quiz product ranges, including coordinated separates, contemporary tailoring and day-to-evening dresses, complement the new store formats.
Customer reaction to new ranges has been ‘very positive’, with attention to fits, extended sizing options and improved fabrications helping to drive a 20% uplift in sales across the business in September.
Retail growth is also being “supported by international franchise partners”, an enhanced concession model and expansion of online partnerships.
Back in February, Quiz overhauled its design, buying and merchandising teams, added new talent, and bolstered its supplier base with more nearshore partners. The move is already translating into quicker turnaround times and fresher product drops.
Quiz currently operates from 40 stores in the UK and through a network of UK and international franchise and online partners.
