Quiz stores set for phased closure as administration continues

A new update from Quiz’s joint administrators has confirmed that, for the 37 remaining operational stores, a phased closure plan will be carried out over the coming weeks, with all stores expected to shut next month.

The exact timing of individual store closures has not yet been confirmed. However, three stores in Castlecourt, Leeds and Romford have already closed.

Remaining stock is being transferred to the stores still trading and is reportedly selling quickly. Discounts of at least 60% are currently available across all products, including dresses, footwear and accessories, with some items reduced to £5 or £10.

Geoff Jacobs, Managing Director at Interpath and joint administrator, said: “We’d once again like to say a huge thank you to Quiz staff who have shown such dedication and professionalism under difficult circumstances.”

Alistair McAlinden, Head of Interpath in Scotland and joint administrator, added: “As we head into the May Bank Holiday weekend, we would encourage shoppers to visit their local store as we commence our final closing down sale.”

It comes after the brand’s online store ceased trading following the appointment of Interpath, with the website stating that “all remaining stock must be cleared” and that all sales are final.

Quiz entered administration on 5 February, resulting in 109 redundancies across head office and warehouse roles, with further job losses now occurring as store closures continue.

It marked the company’s second administration in just over a year, after it collapsed in February 2025 and was subsequently acquired in a pre-pack deal by a subsidiary of its founding Ramzan family.

Quiz Clothing concessions operating within New Look and Matalan stores in the UK are not included in the administration process and continue to trade as normal.
