Quiz schedules 10 more store closures by 17 June as wind-down accelerates

Fashion retailer Quiz has confirmed that nine of its stores have now closed and a further 10 are scheduled to shut by 17 June, as the business enters the final weeks of shutting down its UK store network following its fall into administration in February.

The remaining 21 stores will also close during the month of June, a Quiz spokesperson confirmed, but an exact date for the closures is not yet confirmed.

The nine stores that have already shut are its Aberdeen, Inverness, Bracknell, Dunfermline, Norwich, Newry, Leeds, Romford and Castlecourt in Belfast branches.

The 10 stores scheduled to close between now and 17 June are:

- Warrington

- Basingstoke

- Hanley

- Mansfield

- Eastbourne

- Telford

- Carlisle

- Watford

- Clydebank

- Irvine

By 17 June, 19 of the 40 stores that were still trading in early May will have closed, leaving 21 to wind down before the end of the month.

Quiz entered administration on 5 February 2026 and appointed joint administrators from Interpath, which has overseen a phased closure programme across the remaining UK estate. The online store ceased trading on the same day, with the website stating that "all remaining stock must be cleared" and all sales were final.

Since then Quiz has introduced steep discounts in-store, with reductions of at least 60% across all product categories.

The administration resulted in 109 redundancies across head office and warehouse roles, with further job losses following as stores have shut.

It marked Quiz's second administration in just over a year, after the company collapsed in February 2025 and was subsequently acquired in a pre-pack deal by a subsidiary of its founding Ramzan family.

Quiz Clothing concessions operating within New Look and Matalan stores in the UK are not part of the administration process and continue to trade as normal, according to earlier administrator updates.

Geoff Jacobs, Managing Director at Interpath and joint administrator, said in May: "We'd once again like to say a huge thank you to Quiz staff who have shown such dedication and professionalism under difficult circumstances."

The full list of 37 stores originally earmarked for closure was published last month.
