QUIZ announces partnership with Zalando

Fast fashion womenswear brand QUIZ has announced its largest e-commerce partnership to date with German-based giant Zalando.

A selection of the core QUIZ collection has already been added to Zalando’s German site and it will soon be rolled out to the UK and French sites. QUIZ will be launching on a “direct dispatch” model with Zalando, whereby all customer orders are completed and shipped from QUIZ’s distribution centre in Glasgow.

Scottish-based QUIZ has a growing online presence. For the year ended 31 March 2016, it announced online sales had increased by 33%, which in turn helped to drive earnings 18% higher to £7.1m. In March 2017 alone, online retail sales increased 103%, it said. This online growth is supported with a growing international retail footprint. Using a mix of consignment, concessions and a franchise model, QUIZ trades in more than 20 countries across mainland Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

QUIZ business development director Sheraz Ramzam said the business would continue to develop its own e-commerce capability as well as seeking further partnerships. “Zalando is a key strategic partner as we look to expand our reach and deliver a great brand experience to customers in these markets. We are seeing fantastic growth online and our partnership with Zalando further reinforces our plans to expand our international presence and make our offering more accessible to women all over the world,” he said.

“QUIZ will continue to expand its online capabilities with ongoing investment in our own sites as well as actively seek mutually beneficial partnerships,” he added.

Zalando VP Direct-to-Consumer Carsten Keller said it was “constantly on the lookout” for new brand partners. “We are very happy that QUIZ is now available via the Partner Programme for our consumers in Germany. Through the Partner Programme, brands and retailers can integrate their own e-commerce stock into the Zalando fashion store,” Keller said.

“QUIZ brings a fast fashion offering to our consumers with evening wear and the latest trends at good value. By connecting their stock to our platform, we complement and enhance our assortment. Consumers get the chance to buy fashion items at Zalando that might not have been available in their country beforehand,” he added.
