PVH Corp closes all Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger stores in Europe, US and Canada

PVH Corp. is the latest company to temporarily close stores as the coronavirus continues to spread. The company announced it is to immediately close all Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein and Speedo in Europe, US and Canada.

The brands have closed their doors with an expected opening date of 29 March. The move follows a long list of brands who have announced closures this week including NikeAbercrombie & Fitch and Urban Outfitters.

PVH Corp. have confirmed they will pay staff for their scheduled shifts while retail stores are closed.

PVH Corp. Chairman and CEO Manny Chirico said in a statement: "We know many people; our associates, consumers, partners and communities, are feeling uncertain as we deal with the coronavirus pandemic. Health and safety remain our top priorities."

"This is an unprecedented and rapidly changing situation to which we will need to continue to adapt. We want to thank everyone in our organisation, as well as our partners, for their dedication to our business and the support they’re providing to each other as we all rally together during this time."

The company's head offices remain open currently, with the company announcing that the majority of employees are working remotely across the US and Europe.

PVH Corp. will provide an update on the financial impacts of COVID-19 to the business during its fourth-quarter earnings call on 2 April.
