Pure London’s newest exhibit champions sustainable fashion

Trade show Pure London is hosting its newest edition in February 2023, spotlighting a carefully curated selection of socially conscious exhibitors.

Pure London brings industry creatives together bi-annually to showcase the season’s latest works. Sustainability is at the core of the next edition, which will be held at the iconic Kensington Olympia in London on 12-14 February 2023.

The trade show is widening its appeal for buyers with the introduction of five new curated spaces, including ‘Premium’ womenswear, ‘Purely Sustainable’, ‘Pure Edge’, ‘Pure Body’, and ‘Gen Z’.

This year, we see the launch of Purely Sustainable, ‘a dedicated destination showcasing a carefully curated selection of conscious exhibitors leading the way in addressing their environmental and social impact’. It uses the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to assess the impact of all exhibitors, who must demonstrate their efforts before being accepted to take part.

In 2018, the company launched Power of One at Pure London. This is an initiative designed to empower retailers and suppliers to take steps toward tackling fashion’s environmental challenges. Continuing from this, it has curated a programme of expert speakers to discuss practical steps to become more sustainable.

Showcasing ethical brands and designers, brand highlights include Camper, FIKA, Denim Star, Anema, Les âmes d'Ida, Ochre Cashmere, Critically Endangered, and Nila Rubia.

Gloria Sandrucci, Event Director at Pure London, commented: “The fashion industry is rightly being challenged to become more sustainable and the global ethical fashion market is expected to grow from £5.18 billion in 2019 to £6.73 billion in 2023, an increase of 30%, so it is imperative for us to introduce a new destination to Pure London this February that brings together and champions brands that prioritise sustainable production and ethical standards."

Source Fashion will launch alongside Pure London on 23 February, becoming Europe’s newest responsible fashion sourcing show. It will unite accredited manufacturers with retailers, brands, and designers who are looking to responsibly source new products.
