Private White VC has announced the closure of its flagship store in Mayfair, with reports indicating that the landlord wants to take the street in a new direction.

Founded in 1853, Private White VC is a Manchester-based clothing manufacturer and brand known for its outerwear pieces. The company opened the 2,000 sq ft flagship store in 2014.

The brand has revealed it is currently scouring the capital for a new flagship store, hoping to make an announcement in the coming months.

In a statement, Private White VC said: “After over seven incredible years we are sad to announce the closing of our flagship store in Mayfair. 73 Duke Street has been such an amazing home for us and we are so grateful for all of the people we have met, dressed and befriended over the years."

Following the news of its store closure, Private White VC has announced the re-opening of its Manchester store and factory tours from 1 April.
