Private White V.C. partners Royal Hospital Chelsea on collection honouring British servicemen

Luxury menswear brand Private White V.C., which makes most of its products in its 150-year old red-bricked Manchester factory, has partnered with the Royal Hospital Chelsea, home to the Chelsea Pensioners, on a limited-edition capsule collection.

The collection "honours the heroic service and enduring spirit of British servicemen" and launches in time for VE Day on 8 May 2025.

The Royal Hospital Chelsea is a retirement and nursing home for some 300 veterans of the British Army, and half of all proceeds from the collection will go directly to the hospital with the aim of funding a full-time nurse for 2026 – "ensuring continued care and dignity for the Pensioners who have given so much".

Private White V.C. founder James Eden named the brand after his great grandfather, Jack White, who was a WWI recipient of the Victoria Cross.

Eden said: "This is about remembrance, respect, and responsibility. We’re not only celebrating our shared military roots - we’re actively supporting the wellbeing of the veterans who represent the very best of this nation."

The capsule includes four pieces including ‘The Flight Jacket’ - inspired by WWII G-1 flight jackets and crafted from UK-woven doeskin wool, featuring a real shearling collar, hand-polished copper zips and an ornate RHC badge taking pride of place.

There’s also ‘The Cashmere Submariner Rollneck’ – a luxurious reinterpretation of the Royal Navy’s standard-issue sweater which has been hand-knitted in Scotland. It’s finished with a UK-made Royal Hospital Chelsea embroidered badge on the chest.

Next up is ‘RHC Tote Bag’, crafted from Ventile which was originally developed in Manchester at the direct request of Winston Churchill during WWII to increase RAF pilot survival rates. It features military grade copper hardware, printed collaboration artwork and signature RHC red detailing.

Rounding out the collection ‘The Royal Hospital Chelsea Blanket’ – a super soft, two-tone throw in Royal Chelsea red and Victoria Cross crimson, featuring exclusive PWVC x RHC woven artwork.
