Fast-fashion brand PrettyLittleThing has created an "ape" NFT in collaboration with Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC).

PrettyLittleThing stated on its social media that it had "aped", showing a picture of the new NFT ape, which is wearing a black shirt that spells the brand name and also features the brand's signature unicorn branding in the background.

Instagram's BAYC account responded to the post saying "Welcome a bored!".

The Bored Ape Yacht Club is a limited NFT collection of 10,000 "apes" that were generated by a computer by merging individual attributes such as background colour, mouth-shape that were designed by artists to create a unique composition.

The Bored Ape Yacht Club is a special NFT community because it allows those who buy one of the apes ownership of its IP. That means a likeness of the ape can be licensed to other businesses creating a recurring income stream for the owner.

The BAYC club also says that by buying an NFT you gain "membership to a swamp club for apes".

The BAYC has previously collaborated with sportswear brand Adidas for a distinct ape, continuing its expansion into the "Adi-verse".
