Pretty Green joins forces with Kappa on 90s-inspired collection
British menswear brand Pretty Green and Italian sportswear mainstay Kappa have launched their first ever collaboration collection, inspired by the “style and spirit of the 1990s”.
The seven piece capsule features dual branding, pairing Kappa’s ‘Omini’ logo and tape arm detailing with Pretty Green’s psychedelic logo, accompanied by three stars taking direct inspiration from Manchester City's football kits from 1997-99, which Kappa originally produced, as well as the Britpop era.

Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher founded Pretty Green, though is no longer involved with it and, like his brother Noel, is a big Manchester City fan. It’s therefore perhaps no coincidence of the timing of the collaboration, with Oasis’s comeback tour kicking off at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium this evening, before rolling into Manchester’s Heaton Park next Friday, 11 July.

Stand out pieces in the collaboration collection include the ‘Maine Road Hooded Jacket’, in reference to City’s old football ground where Oasis played in 1996.
There’s also the ‘Maine Road Football Top’, which combines vintage sportswear with Pretty Green’s signature paisley – decorating the top as an all-over faded print, available in blue and white.
On the same theme is a tracksuit, pairing the ‘Maine Road Track Top’ and ‘Maine Road Track Pants’, and rounding out the collection is the ‘Maine Road Bucket Hat’. It’s also no coincidence that Liam Gallagher has always loved a bucket hat.
The collection is now available on the Pretty Green website and via selected retailers.
