Premium Group is relocating its entire portfolio of events to Frankfurt - including the Premium and Seek shows, Neonyt platform for sustainable fashion, and the FashionSustain and FashionTech conferences in what it is calling "Frankfurt Fashion Week", set to debut in July 2021.

Anita Tillmann, managing partner of the Premium Group, said: “The move to Frankfurt in July 2021 is a huge and important step for us and our customers. After 18 years in Berlin, the time has come to try something new and send out a signal to the industry.

“From a strong position, we aim to significantly shape the transformation that the entire market finds itself in right now. Our tradeshows in Berlin are extremely successful, which makes it all the more important to use this momentum to create something new.

The move is being backed by the City of Frankfurt am Main, and the German state of Hesse, with the aim of giving Frankfurt, one of Europe’s leading finance hubs, an appeal to fashion brands and buyers.

Detlef Braun, member of the executive board of Messe Frankfurt, added: “With Frankfurt Fashion Week we want to create a modern and contemporary format and address the future issues facing the textile and fashion industry.

“To do that, we are joining forces to reposition Fashion Week together. That requires a modern product that stands out from existing Fashion Weeks, rather than just copying them. We, as Messe Frankfurt, can bring all our textile expertise to the table and harness various synergies.”
