28 January 2016

Carole White, founder of Premier Model Management, and one of the world's most pre-eminent model managers will be the subject of the Keynote Interview at the next meeting of The Industry on 2 March.

Carole has managed some of the world's most famous models including Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington and is still at the helm of the agency she founded with her brother Chris in 1981.

An outspoken campaigner for more diversity in fashion, Carole has recently published her memoir Have I said too much? which will be out in paperback on 11 February and is available to pre-order now at Amazon.

The book recounts Carole's upbringing in Ghana in the 50s, her stint at boarding school in the UK and a convent in Belgium, her own early career as a model, the establishment of Premier and the extraordinary events that followed. White has shaped the careers of some of the world's most successful models and was a leading figure in the Cool Britannia movement of the 90s.

More recently she was the star of a Channel 4 documentary series, The Model Agency, which charted the day to day running of the agency.

Carole will take the hotseat for The Industry at 5.30pm on 2 March at Conde Nast College of Fashion, Greek Street, Soho. Attendees will also be offered the chance to pose their questions after the interview.

The event is free to attend for members, please email [email protected] to confirm your attendance.
