Prada Group has announced that Andrea Guerra will be appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective 26 January 2023.

Prada will officially propose Guerra take over the role of CEO at its upcoming board meeting. Guerra, the former CEO of Luxottica and LVMH’s hospitality unit, will replace duo Patrizio Bertelli and Miuccia Prada.

Bertelli, CEO and controlling shareholder of the Hong Kong-listed brand, will recommend Guerra for the CEO role before handing the business over to his 34-year-old son, Lorenzo Bertelli.

(Patrizio) Bertelli will then take over the role of Chairman of Prada Group in January.

Board member (Miuccia) Prada will continue to act as Creative Director of Miu Miu and work alongside Raf Simons as Creative Director of Prada.

Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli commented: “This is a fundamental step we have decided to undertake, while completely engaged in the company, to contribute more to the evolution of the Prada Group and to ease the succession of Lorenzo Bertelli, the future leader of the Group.

“We thank Andrea Guerra for being willing to take the job, with the aim of achieving a steady and sustainable growth. Andrea Guerra, with his long professional experience, has shown entrepreneurial skills in businesses where the founders are present and engaged, blending their culture and the needs of a company continuously evolving and active on international markets.”
