Prada and UNESCO postpone Sea Beyond educational project

25 March 2020

Prada and UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) have decided to postpone the start of their Sea Beyond educational project to September 2020.

The programme, which was originally due to start this week, is designed to educate younger generations about the environment and help them understand the importance of the ocean for the future of our planet and guide their energy and creativity towards actions for a more sustainable society.

Prada and UNESCO had planned to work in secondary schools across the world through informing children of fashion’s role in safeguarding the ecosystem. With the closure of schools, Prada and UNESCO’s IOC found themselves unable to effectively deliver the main educational elements of the initiative.
